THE DISPENSATION OF FRIVOLOUS LAW SUITS

BECAUSE too many parents place their child’s right to creative expression above the rights of other students to have an academically focused school environment, and

BECAUSE a growing number of parents threaten and often file lawsuits to discourage educators from holding their child responsible for a myriad of infractions to school rules, regulations, and standards, and

BECAUSE too many parents file frivolous lawsuits against schools and teachers because they believe the only victim is the insurance company which is a wealthy entity with endlessly deep pockets, and

BECAUSE significant amounts of limited school finances are spent on legal fees responding to false charges brought against fellow students and educators,

THEREFORE any parent suing the school district must pay the district’s legal fees should the parent lose the lawsuit.
